All-Ireland medal haul for Western Lakes cyclists

  WESTERN Lakes cyclists scooped top awards at the All-Ireland Track Championships held in Crumlin, Dublin, on Saturday.

  Liam McNeill, Diarmuid Woods and William Connolly all won gold medals after riding brilliantly. Fields were big in all competitions, and the club returned home with a very impressive haul of eight medals.

  Results:

  U12 Sprint – 1 Diarmuid Woods; U12 Scratch Race – 2 Diarmuid Woods;

  U14 Time Trial – 1 Liam McNeill, 3 Cathal Daly;

  U14 Sprint – 2 Liam McNeill; U14 Scratch Race – 2 Liam McNeill;

  U16 Sprint – 1 William Connolly; U16 Time Trial – 2 William Connolly;

  Felix Sproll also rode well and was unfortunate not to get into the medals.
