Club League Round 5 2009

Togher still in control

Jarlath Togher from Cong remains top of the leader board after 5 rounds of the Western Lakes /Covey club league.

With 5 rounds still remaining its all to play for, especially as all the top guns are lining up behind him.

Carlistrane natives Keith Hynes and Andrew Shaughnessy pulled out all the stops when they finished 4th and 5th respectively on home turf against far more experienced riders.

Graham Casey is beginning to come into form at the right time when he narrowly missed out winning Rd 5, when he was out sprinted by in form Padraig Marrey.

Casey was in contention for the overall honours last year and is eager to make up for last year’s disappointment.

Bernard Gereathy Carlistrane put on a fine show by organising everything from weather, Marshalls, lead car drivers and getting all the local ladies to bake up loads of lovely refreshments for the post race presentation.
