Club League Rd 8 & 9

Mayo Wheelers Duo Charles Predergast and Jay Daly dominate club league.

Charles Predergast won round 8 in Westport with a convincing win on a very wet and windy night.

Jay not to be out done by his team mate goes just as good in Round 9 a week later in Ballinrobe when he soloed to a fine win.

With only 2 rounds left the league moves up a new level as now team tactics goes out the window and its time to race against the clock.

This Thursday the 3rd of September, the 10 mile Time Trial that was used away back in April on the Ballyglass road will find out who has improved in that discipline over the 5 months since the last test.

Likewise the following Thursday (Sept 10th )the Hill climb up Lally’s mountain will do the same.

Both the Time trail and Hill climb will be used to find out who are the most improved cyclists in the Youth and Adult sections, last year Ronan Joyce won the most improved adult while Robert Staunton won the most improved Youth, this year it could be anyone so come on out and have a go.
