Club Enrolment

Free Polo shirt to all members who sign up on or before Thursday 21st of January, members also get the opportunity to buy the clubs new Shell casual jacket with logo for €35. The club also has a full range of cycling kit as well to sell.

When you sign up you become a member of cycling Ireland where we get our Insurance from and you also become a member of Western Lakes Cycling Club, which organizes a whole host of activities throughout the year ranging from club league events, Leisure cycles, Open Races, Connacht & Mayo league races and all the training activities and administration that goes with running a club

Remember you get 24hour 3rd party cover with CI all year round and are also covered to participate in all CI events nationwide.

Cycling centre activities

Circuit classes has kicked off last Monday the 4th January and will run every Monday evening from 7-8pm, a great workout to start off the week while exercising all the main muscle groups.

Spin classes are back on Thursday the 7th of January, 2 classes to choose from 7pm and 8pm, book early as demand is always high.

Club weekend to Clifden

The weekend of January 30th and 31st a group of club members will cycle to Clifden as part of a social/training/leisure weekend, there will be 2 options re the distance the long way or else the direct way (short)which is 47 miles, we will be staying at the Station house hotel on the Saturday night, where members can avail of the leisure facilities and sooth their muscles before dinner.

The following morning the groups will cycle back re a different route.

There will be 2 vehicles traveling back to bring luggage and act as support.

The cost is €60 for dinner B&B per person sharing.
