Mayo league rd 5 sign on at 6.30pm on Tuesday June 1st at the hall in Partry, race start at 7.30pm at the Garda barracks Partry.

Connacht Road race champs have now been been postponed

Connacht Road race league starts on Tuesday June 22nd starts in Castlebar, sign on from 6.30pm at An Sportlann.

Leisure

After a great turnout for the Lap of the Mask Leisure Cycle on 15th May, Western Lakers are hoping to have an even bigger crowd back for the Polkadot Challenge on July 18th. Look out for details in the weeks ahead. Both these events are raising money for the Cystic Fibrosis Association of Ireland’s Mayo Building Project. Sponsorship cards are available from CF for the Polkadot – contact Thomas on 087 932 3930.

 The club will have members participating in the following Leisure Events in June and July.

Mayo 200, Sign on at the swimming pool Ballyhanuis from 8am event starts at 9am for a choice of 100k or 200k based around North Mayo.

June 2010

Fri 11th – John Holian Memorial Cup. Sign on at O’Malley’s in Cross at 6:30pm. Leisure cyclists off at 7:15pm ahead of the race.

 Look out in the weeks ahead for details of a new event for newcomers / recreational cyclists which will be hosted by WLCC in Sept. This will be no more than 25k spin, taking in a scenic route in the Ballinrobe area. The event is aimed at encouraging people who haven’t been on the bike for a while and would like have a good excuse to get out and about for some fresh air and light exercise.
