The Mask Challenge.

Only 10 days to go to one of the club’s main events of the year, The Mask route is one the most popular used training spins each weekend nearly all of the club’s members have done it, now we are trying to get everyone to have a go, if you can invite one or two people and this will help to make this event a real success, the main aim is to promote cycling locally , but we are catering for the more experienced cyclists as well by including the Lough NaFooey loop.

The proceeds of this event will go to the Lough Mask life boat, a very worthwhile local cause.

This event would be good preparation for the club’s other big leisure event the Polkadot challenge on Sunday July 19th.

Mobile phone collection.

Members of the cycling club, the Scouts and the boxing club are still collecting mobile phones for a defibrillator for the cycling centre, if any of you know where we can get more please let myself know or get them dropped into the Tourist office on New St.

If everyone tries we can get the quota of 500 phones.

BMX Nights.

The club will hold BMX training sessions every Monday night from Monday the 11th of May from 7-9pm, the aim is to get young and old kids using the track, bikes can be hired but they are on a first come first served basis.
