WESTERN Lakes cyclists Cathal Daly, Brendan Butler (both U14), William Connolly (U16), Eamon Marrey and John James Flaherty (Senior) all gave good accounts of themselves in the Corkman three-day in Kanturk over the Bank Holiday Weekend.

  Manager John O’Halloran said all cyclists went well. “The three days of racing will stand to them, particularly the U14s Cathal and Brendan,” he said.

  “William had a good opening stage, but he suffered a puncture on the second day. He recovered to do very well on Monday.

  “John James and Eamon both did very well. Eamon finished inside the top 20 the first day, and top 15 the last day.”

  For newcomers, both leisure and competitive, the club holds Sunday morning spins at 10am. All are welcome.
