Major international win for Martin Munroe

MARTIN Munroe’s run of outstanding international form continued today (Monday) when he won the final stage of the Junior Tour of Wales.

This follows a second place in Saturday’s second stage, and consolidates Martin’s position as one of the top young riders on the international circuit.

Martin, a member of the Western Lakes Cycling Club, recently won the final stage of the Junior Tour of Ireland.

And this form comes at the right time as he prepares for the World Junior Championships in Verona, Italy, from September 26 to October 3.

“This is a huge win for Martin, a major international win in a very prestigious event. I understand that Martin won well in the final climb at the end of a tough 75-mile race,” said his coach Padraig Marrey, also of Western Lakes Cycling Club.
