MAYO COSTAL 300KM

2 DAY SPORTIVE

SEPT. 8TH AND SEPT 9TH 2007

A 2day tour of Irelands Western Lakes and Atlantic Coastline










This 2nd running of the mayo Costal 300 will see riders cover the undulating roads of County Mayo, Irelands most westerly county over 2 days with an overnight stop on Achill Island.

Route.

Day 1

Ballinrobe circling Lough Mask and Lough Nafooey (riders get 2 of the significant climbs on day 1 over early in the day), then on through the Maam valley to Leenane and winding its way through the Sheefry hills to Louisburgh. From here riders travel along the edge of Clew Bay through Westport. Newport and Mulranny and on to Achill Island.










Route.

Day 2

This starts with a circuit of Achill Island, which includes the magnificent Atlantic Drive and then retraces Saturday’s final leg to Newport before heading for the main climb of the day over the Windy Gap before descending into Castlebar and the final leg to Ballinrobe
