LIAM McNeill of Western Lakes Cycling Club finished 5th in the All-Ireland U13 Road Racing championship in Drogheda at the weekend.

 The event consisted of a time trial, a criterium, and a road race. Liam came second in Sunday’s road race to push himself up into 5th place overall.

 Roisin Cameron (U11), Diarmuid Woods (U12), Liam McNeill, Brendan Butler, Felix Sproll (U13) Cathal Daly (U14), and William Connolly (U15) all acquitted themselves well in the event.

 Meanwhile, the final round of the Connacht League takes place tomorrow night (Tuesday) in Castlebar, with sign-on in An Sportlann from 6pm. The under-age race starts at 6.45pm, followed by the seniors at 7.15pm.
